Job summary

    Job Details
  • Candidates must be competent in managing care of the highest level of acuity patients, with a background in neuro/trauma.
  • Care for stroke patient post intervention, recover a craniotomy, manage ICP/EVDs, and care for polytrauma patients.
  • Orientation includes hospital-based learning classes, unit educator meetings, unit tours, and preceptor RN guidance on MSIC (3rd floor trauma ICU) and ICU4 (4th floor neuro ICU).
  • Patient ratio typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 for stable patients on a rotating basis.
  • Floating to other units is required.
  • EMR system used is Cerner.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience or more.
  • Travelers must attach required license and certifications or will be rejected.
  • Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: 5A-5P days.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: MSIC (3rd floor trauma ICU) and ICU4 (4th floor neuro ICU).
  • Dept Scrub Color: Navy.
