Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a travel assignment in Lapeer, Michigan. The role requires ASCP/AMT/AAB certification, 18 months of MLS/MLT experience, and potential state licensure.

You will work 40 hours per week, 10-hour daytime shifts, for 13 weeks on travel assignment with competitive pay and full credentialing support. Housing options and health benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Need to have a basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to gather information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug levels or other chemicals in blood to ensure therapeutic ranges.
• Assess blood chemistry to identify deficiencies or lipid/glucose issues.
• Follow lab protocols for analyzing, interpreting, and delivering results.
