Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Lapeer, MI. The role involves performing routine and moderately complex tests across chemistry, hematology, and related areas, while maintaining accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• One year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Valid license when needed in compliance with state regulations
• National certification through ASCP or equivalent preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) preferred

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and immunology
• Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and handling
• Ensure accuracy of test results through quality control protocols
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA)
• Support transfusion reaction investigations
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues
• Communicate test results clearly to healthcare professionals
• Maintain safety and infection control standards
• Keep detailed records of results, calibrations and QC measures
• Assist with inventory management and stocking of lab supplies
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice
