Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join a 13-week assignment in Marquette, MI. The MLT will perform routine and moderately complex tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and toxicology while ensuring accuracy and quality control.

The role emphasizes working with a clinical team, maintaining equipment, and following regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA).

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication are required.
• The ability to read, write and communicate in English is essential.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and perform basic PC tasks.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and immunology.
• Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and handling.
• Ensure reliability of results by following quality control protocols.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA).
• Support transfusion reaction investigations by collecting and preparing samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshooting as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and escalate issues accordingly.
• Communicate test results clearly to other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of results, calibrations, and QC measures.
• Assist with inventory, reagent prep, and stocking lab supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety and regulatory standards.
