Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue, stool, etc.) for clinical trials according to specific protocol guidelines, including logging samples into and out of the department.
  • Request and receive tissue samples from outside pathology facilities.
  • Send tissue blocks to vendors for slide preparation and ship these slides to the study's lab.
  • Record all data accurately in specified forms (paper and electronic) related to clinical trials.
  • Enter data into departmental databases.
  • Identify discrepancies in sample data and coordinate with clinical staff to resolve them.
  • Organize and store reagents following safety instructions.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, orderly lab environment.
  • Restock lab consumables daily.
  • Manage inventory of clinical trial supplies, kits, and departmental materials.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and emailing documents.
  • Ship or store samples according to protocol before the end of the shift.
  • Prepare collection tubes and aliquots for the next day's clinic with accuracy and responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Handle IATA Dangerous Goods; training will be provided if not previously certified.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
