Job summary

Summit Spine and Joint Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers across region 08 clinics. Under general supervision, you will chart in the EMR, take vitals, prepare patients, and assist with referrals and education.

Responsibilities include recording data in the chart, reviewing medications and allergies, relaying orders to pharmacies, and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA. Travel to other SSJC locations may be required, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (EClinical Works) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records data in the chart.
• Reviews medications, allergies, family history, and medical history.
• Provides patient education and aftercare instructions during or after visits.
• Relays orders to the pharmacy and coordinates with physicians.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and ensures HIPAA compliance.
