Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast is seeking a Medical Assistant in Santa Maria to deliver patient care and administer medications under supervision. The MA will support patient treatments and handle clerical duties.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma/GED, certification in Medical Assisting, and at least one year of medical experience. Bilingual skills and EHR proficiency are preferred. Flexible scheduling including travel is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required, with Medical Assisting certification.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting experience preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as per Provider directives.
• Performs preliminary intake of vitals for patients.
• Maintains clean and safe patient areas, following safety procedures.

Skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to perform EKG

Experience in venipuncture

Education

High school diploma or GED

Graduation from an accredited school in Medical Assisting

CMA/RMA certification
