Travel Medical Assistant - Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens

Join Health Plus Management as a Travel Medical Assistant covering Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

Position Details
  • Salary Range: $25.00/hr (fixed)
  • Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Health Plus Management is a physician support organization with over 50 locations across Westchester, NYC, NJ, CT, & Upstate NY. We specialize in musculoskeletal care, providing practice management, marketing, and back-office support to enable independent physician practices to grow and succeed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient flow, escort patients, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Coordinate and implement patient care plans, record visit reasons, and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Support physicians during visits, including note-taking, translating, and calling patients with questions.
  • Travel between locations in Bushwick, Canarsie, Sunset Park, Midtown, and Rego Park.
  • Maintain examination rooms, prepare equipment, and assist with diagnostic testing and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification or 6 months experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software preferred.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Extensive standing and walking; ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations.
