Dermatology Partners seeks a Travel Medical Assistant to support clinics across the region, covering call-outs and vacations as needed. You will intake patients, document during exams in our EMR, and assist with procedures such as sutures and local anesthesia.

You will educate patients, handle prior authorizations, schedule follow-ups, and respond to messages within 24 hours. Adherence to HIPAA and medical regulations is required, with additional duties as assigned.

Responsabilidades

• Traveling to the clinics within the Region to assist in coverage for Call outs and vacations.
• Proper intake of the patient (history and chief complaint).
• Documenting during the exam on our EMR system.
• Assisting with medical procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying patches for allergy testing.
• Deliver patient education and documentation on disease, wound care, medications and pathology reports.
• Conducting prior authorizations for medications and sending to pharmacy as prescribed by the Provider.
• Schedule follow-up appointments at the end of each exam.
• Responding to patient messages within 24 hours.
• Ensuring start of day and end of day tasks are completed.
• Complying with HIPAA and other medical regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

Travel Medical Assistant Job Description

• Deliver patient education and documentation on disease, would care, medications, and pathology Reports and diagnosis.
• Properly conducting Prior authorizations for medications/sending medications to pharmacy as prescribed by Provider
• Schedule follow up appointments at the end of each exam
• Responding timely to messages sent by patients to you or the team (24 hours)
• Ensuring start of day/end of day tasks are completed
• Completing all duties in accordance with HIPAA and other medical regulations
• Other duties as assigned
