Dermatology Partners is seeking a Travel Medical Assistant to support clinics across the region. You will travel as needed to cover call-outs and vacations, take patient histories, and document in the EMR system.

You’ll assist with procedures, educate patients, and coordinate prior authorizations per provider instructions. You will schedule follow-ups, respond to patient messages within 24 hours, and ensure daily tasks start/end smoothly while adhering to HIPAA and related regulations.

• Traveling to the clinics within the Region to assist in coverage for Call outs and vacations
• Proper intake of the patient (history and chief complaint)
• Documenting during the exam on our EMR system
• Assisting with Medical Procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying patches for allergy testing and transcribing reaction strengths
• Deliver patient education and documentation on disease, would care, medications, and pathology Reports and diagnosis
• Properly conducting Prior authorizations for medications/sending medications to pharmacy as prescribed by Provider
• Schedule follow up appointments at the end of each exam
• Responding timely to messages sent by patients to you or the team (24 hours)
• Ensuring start of day/end of day tasks are completed
• Completing all duties in accordance with HIPAA and other medical regulations
• Other duties as assigned
