Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Waterloo, Iowa. The position supports Med Surg/Telemetry on a 12-hour night schedule, with a 36-hour workweek and a 13-week duration.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and TNCC certifications. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry data, providing bedside care, and promptly addressing data changes to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH, TNCC certifications required.
• Telemetry/Med Surg RN experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry equipment and displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the medical team.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse symptoms.
