Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel RN for Med Surg/Telemetry in Canton, OH. The assignment spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, ASAP start, offering travel benefits and full clinical support.

The RN must have 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS certification. NIHSS and ACLS certifications are preferred, with licensure reimbursement and robust travel pay options.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes in the medical record.
• Prepare patients for procedures, assist physicians, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients recovering from conditions or surgery.
• Collaborate with the care team to create and implement care plans.
• Manage multiple patients by acuity and clinical needs.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences in the care plan.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with families and resources.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
