Job summary

TotalMed RN in Charlottesville, VA seeks Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Med Surg/Telemetry. The 13-week contract runs 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience with BLS and ACLS certifications.

As a TELE Travel Nurse, you will monitor heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and oxygenation, interpreting data to guide patient care. The role includes standing, lifting, and operating diagnostic monitoring equipment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust telemetry equipment and record displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the medical team.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
