Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Georgia. Requires 2+ years Med/Surg Tele RN experience and GA or Compact RN license. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. EPIC EMR experience is required, with comprehensive unit support including CNAs and hospitalists.

The role features a 12-hour night shift (7P–7A), 36 hours weekly, and no on-call requirements, with free parking on campus and a busy, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Active RN license GA or Compact is required.
BLS is required; ACLS preferred.
BCR competency exam required.
Trauma Med/Surg RN experience is necessary.
Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience.

Responsibilities

Care for 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit patients in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Manage patients with heart failure, A-Fib, NSTEMI, sepsis, and post-op/CV procedures.
Maintain 1:4–6 RN:patient ratio with 2–3 CNAs per shift.
Operate 12-hour night shifts (7P–7A), 36 hours/week; weekend rotations.
Float to other adult med-surg/telemetry units as needed.
