TotalMed RN in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse for a 13-week assignment. The RN will work 36 hours per week on nights, providing Med/Surg care and patient assessments to a diverse acute care population.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection.
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document findings and provide education and support to patients and families.
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Assist with discharge planning and initiate patient education.
