Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Medical/Surgical Travel RN for assignment in Waterloo, Iowa. The nurse will provide Med Surg care, perform assessments, and support families in a fast-paced hospital setting. Immediate start with 13-week duration and night shifts, 36 hours per week.

Requirements include BLS and NIH certifications with 1 year of acute care experience. Duty days are 12-hour shifts with travel opportunities across the region.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care for Med Surg patients.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with pre/post-operative care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care routines.
