Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Atchison, KS. You will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, delivering high‑quality med-surg care in a busy unit.

Requirements include one year Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS. Preferred certifications (ACLS/NIHSS) may be required. The role includes competitive pay, benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures.
