Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

As a MedSurg RN, you will conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. You will document findings, provide education to patients and families, and participate in discharge planning. This travel position runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, nights, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Med Surg RN role is required
• 1-2 years of acute care experience preferred
• BLS certification required; other certs may be needed

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside Med Surg care for diverse patients
• Document assessments and care plans; update physician as needed
• Educate patients and families about procedures and discharge plans
• Assist during examinations and treatments as required
• Manage post-op and pre-op patient needs and education
