Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lawton, Oklahoma. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

You will deliver MedSurg care, perform assessments, administer medications, and support patients and families in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIH certification, and may require additional credentials before starting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current BLS/NIH certifications.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aide physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
