Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The RN will provide medical-surgical bedside care, conduct patient assessments, and document findings to support timely treatment. A 1–2 year recent acute care background and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• 13-week travel assignment in Tulsa, OK with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of medical-surgical patients (pre- and post-op).
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-discharge care.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed.
