Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Shift is Nights with competitive pay per shift and hourly differential.

You will be part of a team delivering high-quality med-surg care under the direction of the department leadership. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing workflow, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and adjust as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
