Job summary

TotalMed RN in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel assignment. The position runs 13 weeks with 48 hours per week, scheduled nights on a 12-hour shift, and requires 1–2 years of acute care experience. BLS/ACLS and a minimum of 5 years nursing experience are requested.

The role includes bedside care, medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning. Expect to join a fast-paced team in a travel nursing role, with tax-free stipends and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 5 years nursing experience (minimum)

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education programs.
