Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, NM. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour nights in a fast-paced MedSurg unit.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS/NIH certifications. You will perform bedside assessments, administer medications, change dressings, and assist with discharge planning and family education.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum acute care experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op
• Administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning
