Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This 13-week assignment features 36 hours per week, with a 12-hour night shift in a travel capacity. Immediate opening with 1–2 years acute care experience preferred.

BLS and NIH certifications required; duties include bedside care, meds, dressings, IVs, and discharge planning. Eligible candidates will join a national travel staffing organization that offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours,

1 year of acute care RN experience required.
BLS and NIH certifications required.

Responsibilities

Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
Educates patients on surgical procedures.
Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
