Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel Med-Surg assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. The start date is 08/31/2026 on a 3x12-hour night schedule with a 48-bed unit serving adults and geriatrics.

This travel role includes onboarding with onsite orientation and recruiter support, within a 100-mile radius rule for non-local candidates. Weekly pay ranges from $1,606 to $1,663 per week with no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in State of Idaho or a compact license at time of submittal.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years Med-Surg RN experience preferred; travel experience required.
• Epic charting proficiency; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med-Surg unit; assess, plan, implement, and reassess care.
• Monitor respiratory needs including oxygen delivery and non-invasive support; respond to changes promptly.
• Establish and maintain IVs; administer medications including insulin and anticoagulants; assist with wound care and post-op care.
• Recognize changes in patient status; participate in rapid response and code team activities; follow isolation precautions and PPE use.
• Document accurately in Epic; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for safe transfers and patient recovery.
• Float within competencies; cover weekends as needed and complete orientation requirements.
