Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Travel RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour night shift schedule for a 13‑week assignment starting 09/28/2026.

The MedSurg RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, change dressings, start IVs, and assist in discharge planning while documenting findings and educating patients and families. ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications and 2+ years acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
