Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Med/Surg RN for a Saint Louis, MO assignment. The role encompasses bedside care for Med/Surg patients, medication administration, IV starts, and patient education. Requires BLS, NIH, and 1 year of acute care experience.

Assignment spans 13 weeks with 36 hours weekly on a 12-hour night shift. Travel nurses are offered benefits and a tax-free stipend; notes indicate pay is based on 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• NIH (likely required) and RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op care.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration; report adverse reactions.
• Assist with IV starts, dressing changes, and catheter insertions.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-discharge care.
