Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Osage Beach, Missouri. This position requires a Med Surg RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience, working 36 hours per week across 9-hour night shifts for a 13-week assignment.

The role emphasizes bedside patient assessments, data collection, and ongoing care under physician orders, with a focus on education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS, NIH, ACLS certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate education plans.
