Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour nights, and offers competitive pay with comprehensive benefits and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

The Med Surg RN delivers patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, assesses conditions, monitors telemetry data, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet diverse patient needs while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes for the care team.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and monitor patient safety.
• Document vital signs, medications, and care outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
