Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Jackson, Michigan. The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse on the night shift will lead the coordination and delivery of patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current active licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years Medical Surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and their families.
• Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential.
• The nurse will participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure their implementation.
