Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Carbondale, IL. Youll deliver high-quality patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry units while adapting to a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. NIHSS/ACLS preferred. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and strong clinical support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and report changes to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans.
• Manage multiple patients, prioritizing based on acuity.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences.
• Coordinate discharge planning for smooth transitions.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
