Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse for an immediate opening in Baltimore, MD. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize data collection, and document findings while supporting families and coordinating care with physicians.

You will manage meds, dressings, IVs, and pre/post-op care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. Requirements include BLS and 1–2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Med/Surg experience.
• 1–2 years of acute care experience required.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-operative patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
