Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Med Surg RN for a travel nursing assignment in Baltimore, MD. Start date is 11/10/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 hours weekly and 12-hour day shifts. Immediate need for 1-2+ years of acute care experience and BLS certification.

RNs will conduct patient assessments, document findings, and educate families. Travel nurses will perform bedside care, administer meds, manage dressings, IVs, and assist during exams.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans.
