Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions has partnered with Lifepoint Health to expand travel nurse opportunities. This community hospital in Richlands, VA seeks a skilled nurse for 8, 10, or 13 week assignments, offering housing options and competitive pay.

You will provide care across units, perform plans of care, collaborate with the care team, and support patient education while upholding high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Current state nursing license.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Demonstrated code of conduct and compliance policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly with reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care, documenting care given.
• Monitor and record patient condition and communicate with care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Educate patient/family on learning needs appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
