TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Start date is 11/02/2026 and the assignment runs for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek on a night shift (12 hours). The MedSurg Travel Nurse will perform bedside care, administer medications, place dressings, insert catheters, assist physicians, and support discharge planning while ensuring patient education and family support

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Travel nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Document findings and educate patients and families.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education plans.
