Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a day shift plus call assignment in AZ. Active AZ or compact RN license required and a minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg and Telemetry experience in a hospital setting.

The role uses Meditech EMR, Alaris pumps, and Omnicell; schedules run 7a-7p with a defined ratio structure. BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required, flu vaccination is also mandatory; optional call may be offered during low census.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg and Telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Step-down experience is a plus but not required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg, Observation, and Telemetry Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p, with set schedules
• Med-Surg/OBS ratio of 1:6 and Step Down ratio of 1:4
• May be offered optional call during times of low census in rotation with full-time staff
• Uses Meditech EMR, Alaris pumps, and Omnicell medication system
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a defined ratio structure
• No more than 3 days of RTO may be requested per 13-week contract
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
