TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for an assignment in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on medical-surgical patient care in a fast-paced setting, with 13-week duration and 48 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and are prepared to educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and manage routine medications and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
