Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This RN will work 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, performing bedside care, medication administration, dressings, IV starts, and pre/post-op support.

Strong acute care experience (1-2 years) and BLS are required. As a MedSurg Travel Nurse, you will assess patients, document findings, educate families, and assist with discharge planning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 2 years RN experience (acute care).
• Willingness to travel and work 12-hour nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plan.
