Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel assignment in Salem, Virginia. The role is a 13-week travel assignment starting 10/05/2026 with 36 hours per week across day and night shifts.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, possess BLS, and have 18 months of Med-Surg Acute Care experience. Other client-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care.
• Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Meticulous documentation as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.
