Job summary

TotalMed RN in Upland, California is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel assignment. The role is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, on a 12-hour day shift. Travel employment offers unique responsibilities and a fast-paced hospital environment.

The right candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS. You will perform assessments, administer meds, manage dressings, and support discharge planning as part of a dynamic travel nursing team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Upland, CA travel assignment available.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op individuals.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and initiate IVs as ordered.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care instructions.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
