Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a Travel RN Med Surg to join a hospital assignment in Wheeling, West Virginia. This 13-week contract offers 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts (0645-1915; 1845-0715). Start ASAP.

Provide care for post-ops and medical patients, with COPD, pneumonia, and infections. BLS and NIHSS are required; ACLS is a plus. Submit a copy of your unexpired driver’s license with submission.

Qualifications

• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS a plus; 50 mile radius rule; submit license copy with submission.
• Licensing hits disclosed at time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for ortho post-ops, neuro post-ops, and general post-ops (gallbladders, mastectomies, infections).
• Manage patients with COPD, CP, pneumonia, and cellulitis.
• Assess and monitor patients on Bipap, CPAP, High Flow vents; perform related duties.
• Collaborate with hospitalist or intensivist for patient management, including 24/7 in-house coverage.
• Follow hospital protocols for medication administration and patient safety.

Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts: 0645-1915; 1845-0715. Schedules are made out for 6 weeks at a time. Staff is allowed to submit up to 6 requests off per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Certs BLS is required. NIHSS required. Some staff have ACLS - this would be a PLUS! - 50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER’S LICENSE. LICENSING HITS MUST BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION
