Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Ukiah, CA. You will deliver patient-centered care in a busy medical-surgical unit, with 12-hour day shifts and a 36-hour work week, enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgeries.
• Document patient information in the medical record with vital signs, meds, and care outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to create care plans.
• Prioritize care across multiple patients based on acuity and needs.
• Ensure infection control practices, hand hygiene, and PPE use.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and coordinate with families and external resources for discharge.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
