Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Wheeling, WV. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, telemetry monitoring, and teamwork with the clinical staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with benefits and support from a dedicated recruiter. Start ASAP and bring your Med Surg experience to a travel nursing environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and document changes for the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, assist physicians, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients recovering from illness or procedures.
• Document patient information, vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes in the chart.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop individualized care plans.
• Manage multiple patients, prioritizing care based on acuity and needs.
