Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawrence, KS. The RN will work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) on a 36-hour week schedule, with weekend coverage based on unit needs.

The role requires 1 year of Med/Surg experience, Kansas RN license, and BLS certification. Start date is November 8, 2026, with a contract through February 7, 2027, and opportunities to float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience in an acute-care setting.
• Current RN license in Kansas.
• Current BLS certification.
• Step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients across the care continuum.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for changes in status.
