TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, IL. The nurse will perform bedside care, medication administration, and patient education, with a focus on post-operative and acute care needs.

This role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and a current RN license. Expect 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with tax-free stipends and travel benefits included.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for post-op and general Med Surg patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and initiate IVs as ordered.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
