Job summary

Anders Group is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The 22-bed unit cares for medical and surgical patients with a 5:1 ratio and 4:1 primary nursing. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights.

Required are IL RN license, BLS by American Heart Association or Red Cross, ACLS and PALS, EPIC charting, and a minimum of 2 years experience. Start ASAP; travel nursing pay package and tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• IL state RN license required.
• American Heart Assoc or American Red Cross BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• EPIC charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med Surg nursing care on a 22-bed unit.
• Administer chandled treatments: chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight caths/Foleys, ostomies, heparin drips and blood products.
• Monitor and document patient status per unit protocol; maintain patient safety per 5:1 nurse-patient ratio.
