Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse RN for a 13-week assignment in Hickory, NC. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and offers 12-hour day shifts totaling approximately 36 hours weekly.

As a MedSurg RN, you will perform patient assessments, document findings, and provide education to patients and families. You will also participate in discharge planning and assist during examinations and treatments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• 13-week travel assignment in Hickory, NC.
• Shifts: 12 hours, days; 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Assist during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and families; plan discharge education.
