Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Minnesota. Requires an active MN RN license, BLS, and 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience. ACLS preferred and Epic charting experience is desirable.

The role includes 3x12 day/night or straight night shifts, every third weekend, and a travel-friendly package with housing allowances and reimbursements. First-time travelers are welcome to apply and non-residents within 25 miles are required to travel for assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 1-2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit caring for medical, transitional care, hospice, and outpatient infusion/wound care patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4.
• 3x12 Day/Night or straight Night shifts (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30).
• Every third weekend required, rotating day/night unless straight night is preferred.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Provide direct patient care across medical, transitional, hospice, and outpatient infusion/wound care services.
• Required to work holidays as needed by the facility.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must not reside within 25 miles of the facility.
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler.
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting required in person within the state, completed on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date.
