Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Quincy, IL. The RN will provide high-quality Med Surg care, manage patients in telemetry, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care. The role requires 1 year of Med Surg experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification. NIHSS and ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record, including vital signs and care outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Manage multiple patients with prioritization based on acuity and clinical needs.
