TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in New Ulm, Minnesota. This Med Surg RN travel assignment is for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and are able to conduct patient assessments, perform treatments, document findings, and educate families. Travel RNs will handle pre/post-op care and participate in discharge planning.

Competenze

• BLS certification required.
• 1 year (or 1-2 years) recent acute care experience.

Mansioni

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
